iHeartMedia has expanded Sonya Blakey’s Program Director roles from Chicago to Baltimore for Heaven 600 (WCAO-AM). Blakey will continue to program Inspiration 1390 (WGRB-AM), as well as host her multi-market gospel show for iHeart.
Effective February 1, Blakey takes on her new leadership role, reporting to Baltimore Region Senior Vice President of Programming Jeff Kapugi.
Kapugi said, “We are fortunate to have Sonya take the lead as Program Director for Heaven 600. She is a proven leader and will guide the station to new heights!”
Blakey added, “I’m honored to carry on the rich legacy of Heaven 600 in bringing the good news and gospel music with a new vision and proven media innovation. Also looking forward to connecting and building strong relationships with the local faith and gospel artist community!”
